As long as I'm posting something daily I don't mind what it is. It could be a finished painting; it could be a biro doodle I scribbled on my notepad at work. I've never been a fan of ultra-polished, 'finished' artwork. I l love the raw ideas, and the flow of initial sketches. Even as a kid I prefered the classic Disney films, where you can still see the rough sketches of the drawings through the colours. I like things done by hand. I'm a sucker for anything oldschool, vintage, and retro, and this includes techniques. I take a great deal of pleasure in adding character and personality to an inanimate object. Subtle expression. Exaggerated stances. I adore the work of Bruce Timm and Shane Glines. I love pin-ups from the 40s and 50s. I love the golden age of comic books. I love ridiculous outfits on space babes and lots of flesh on show. I prefer drawing girls, because they're made up of curves and smooth flowing lines. Men are far too angular. I love blending coloured pencils on tracing paper. I love the smell of a new sketch book but I always find the first page too intimidating.
